Medicare Annual/ Open Enrollment Period

​Each year, you may make changes to your Medicare Advantage or your Medicare Prescription plan.

1. “Window Shopping“ starts on October 1st. You can see the changes on your current plan and review the coverage and benefits of new plans.

2. From October 15 to December 7, it's Open Enrollment and you may select and enroll in a new plan.

3. If you choose a plan.. and then, on further review you want a different plan- That’s OK!.. The last selection you make prior to December 7 will be your selection.

​First Steps for a Medicare Advantage plan: 
Complete the worksheet “What’s Most Important“. This will help us evaluate what plan would be most effective for you. From there we can review specific plans to meet your needs. We will have 2026 plans on Oct 1.

​If you have a Medicare Prescription plan – Gather your list of medications so we can review via www.Medicare.gov


There is NO Open Enrollment for Medicare Supplement (MediGap) plans. You can change to a Medicare Advantage plan without health questions; acceptance is guaranteed.

If you want to change to another MediGap plan, you must complete the application and answer health questions. The insurance company’s underwriters will evaluate and say “Yes“ or “No“.
