We’ve officially entered Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) — and there are some important changes this year. Don’t worry, you have until December 7th to review your options and make updates.
What’s Changing for 2026

Medicare Advantage Plans
Many Advantage Plans (from all major insurance companies) are changing for 2026.

• More plans are now HMO-only, meaning network-based coverage.
• Copays and maximum out-of-pocket limits (MOOP) are increasing.
• The popular “extras” — dental, vision, hearing, and over-the-counter benefits — are also shifting.

Prescription (Part D) Plans

Medicare Part B Updates
For 2026, the Part B premium will increase to $206.50, and the deductible will rise to $288.00.
These rates apply to individuals earning under $109,000 and couples filing jointly under $218,000 (based on 2024 tax returns).

MediGap / Supplement Plans
If you have a Medigap or Medicare Supplement plan, you may have noticed your rates increasing.
The good news: You can shop for a new plan or switch to a Medicare Advantage plan — with no health questions asked — anytime now through December 7th.
